Sunday 31st December 2006 - AE, PGn, and IC flew the IS-28 and Pilatus. There were good 4-6 m/s thermals to around 9,000 ft with light and variable winds most of the afternoon.  Around 15:15, outflow from a thunderstorm changed the wind to a strong south easterly and launching was terminated.  Flight time was 4h 21m from 6 flights. Thanks to Mart for launches.

Saturday 30th December 2006 - AE, JL, PGn, PO, MBn and IC flew the IS-28 and Pilatus. In sunshine, there were good 4-5 m/s thermals to around 12,000 ft with light and variable winds. There was 3/8th to 7/8th cumulus cloud cover and 4/8 high cirrus with over development leading to short flight times mid afternoon. Flight time was 7h 18m from 9 flights. 

Friday 29th December 2006 - AE, and IC flew the IS-28 and Pilatus. There were good 4-5 m/s thermals to around 12,500 ft with light and variable winds and 1/8th cumulus cloud cover. Flight time was 6h 02m from 3 flights. AE completed Mt Beauty-Hotham Heights-Dederang Substation-Mt Beauty.  Thanks to Mart for the launches.

Thursday 28th December 2006 - AE, and IC flew the IS-28 and Pilatus. There were good thermals to around 9,000 ft with a 5kt north westerly breeze but 4/8th alto cumulus cloud cover. Flight time was 3h 09m from 4 flights.

Saturday 23rd December 2006 - MBd, AB, and MP flew the Blanik. Flight time was 47m from 5 flights.

Thursday 21st December 2006 - RH, MBd, and AB, flew the Blanik and Pilatus. There were good thermals to around 9,000 ft. Flight time was 5h 28m from 2 flights.

Monday 4th to 20 December 2006 - No flying due bushfires.

Sunday 3rd December 2006 - RB, MBd, PGn, MBn, and MP, flew the IS-28 and Pilatus. There were good thermals to around 8,000 ft. Flight time was 4h from 4 flights.

Saturday 2nd December 2006 - KV, MBm, and RH, flew the IS-28. There were good thermals to around 8,000 ft. Flight time was 3h 07m from 2 flights.

Monday 27th November 2006 - KV, MBd, MBm, MP, IC, RH, and MR flew the IS-28, Blanik, and IS-28M2 mainly for AEFs associated with the GVBR. There were good thermals to around 8,000 ft. Flight time was 8h 04m from 24 flights.

Sunday 26th November 2006 - KV, and MR flew the IS-28. There were good thermals to around 10,000 ft. Flight time was 1h 16m from one flight.

Saturday 25th November 2006 - MBd, and NJ flew the IS-28 and Blanik from Lockhart to Mt Beauty in 3h 25m. There were moderate thermals to around 9,000 ft. 

Friday 24th November 2006 - AD, MBd, ID, PO, and PGn flew the Blanik, IS-28, Libelle, and Std Cirrus at Lockhart. There were moderate thermals to around 6,000 ft. IC flew the Pilatus to Myrtleford.

Thursday 23rd November 2006 - AD, IC, ID, PO, and PGn flew the Blanik, IS-28, Pilatus, Libelle, and Std Cirrus at Lockhart. There were moderate thermals to around 5,000 ft.  

Wednesday 22nd November 2006 - MBd, IC, ID, PO, and PGn flew the Blanik, IS-28, Pilatus, Libelle, and Std Cirrus at Lockhart. There were moderate to good thermals to around 7,000 ft.  

Tuesday 21st November 2006 - MBd and PGn flew the Blanik from Narromine to Lockhart. There were moderate to good thermals to above 10,000 ft.  Flight time 6h 2m. At Lockhart there was no flying due to high cross winds.

Monday 20th November 2006 - MBd and PGn flew the Blanik from Lockhart to Narromine. There were moderate to good thermals to above 10,000 ft.  Flight time 5h 27m. At Lockhart IC, PO, RH, MBd, MP flew the Blanik, Pilatus, IS-28, and Std Cirrus.

Sunday 19th November 2006 - MBm flew the IS-28 From Mt Beauty to Lockhart. There were moderate thermals to Max height 11,300 ft.  Flight time 5h 50m. At Lockhart PO, RH, MBd, MP flew the IS-28, Pilatus, and Std Cirrus.

Saturday 18th November 2006 - MBm  flew the IS-28. There were weak to moderate thermals under a cloudless sky.  Max height 8,300 ft.  Flight time 3h 14m from 1 flight. At Lockhart PO, MBd and MP flew the Blanik.

Friday 17th November 2006 - MBd flew the IS-28. There were weak thermals under a cloudless sky.  Max height 8,000 ft but most time spent scratching below 4,500 ft.  Flight time 3h 35m from 2 flights. Max flight time 3h 30m.  

Tuesday 14th November 2006 - RH, PM, LN, and MR flew the IS-28. There were good thermals under a more or less cloudless sky.  Max height 7,000 ft. Flight time 2h 30m from 2 flights. Max flight time 1h 36m.  

Saturday 11th November 2006 - MBd, IC, RH, and MR flew the Blanik and IS-28 mainly for a group from Pearsons Aviation in Melbourne who all had good flights. There were good thermals all day under a more or less cloudless sky.  Max height 7,000 ft. Flight time 7h 40m from 15 flights. Max flight time 1h 5m.  Thanks to Kitty for running the flight desk.

10th November 2006 - MBd flew the Blanik. After a scratchy start, there were good thermals under patchy 3/8 cloud. Flight time 3h 35m from 1 flight. Max height 9,000 ft.

Tuesday 7th November 2006 - MBGC Winch launching was cancelled due to a strong south-easterly wind.  TG and IR flew the LS4 and Discus locally.  JB and GV returned to Benalla with the Callair and the Kookaburra.  There was 4/8 cloud and good thermals. Max height 7400 ft.

Monday 6th November 2006 - MBGC members and visitors flew the Grunau Baby, Kookaburra, LS-4, Discus, IS-28, and Blanik.  It was sunny with 3/8 cloud and good thermals. Winds were steady 3 knot north westerlies.  Total glider flight time was 24h 52m from 17 flights. Max altitude was 9,200 ft.  Max flight time was 7h 13m. TG and IR flew Mt Beauty-Tocumwal-Benalla-Mt Kosciusko-Mt Beauty in the LS-4 and Discus.  Check this flight out here.

Sunday 5th November 2006 - MBGC members and visitors flew the Grunau Baby, Kookaburra, LS-4, Libelle, Discus, IS-28, Blanik, and Pilatus.  It was sunny with 2/8 cloud and good  thermals at lower levels. Winds were steady 3-5 knot north westerlies.  Total glider flight time was 28h 30m from 17 flights. Max altitude was 10,200 ft.  Max flight time was 6h 8m.

Saturday 4th November 2006 - MBGC members and visitors flew the Grunau Baby, Libelle, Kookaburra, LS-4, IS-28, Blanik, and Pilatus.  It was sunny with 1/8 cloud and weak inconsistent thermals at lower levels. Winds were steady 3-5 knot north westerlies.  Total glider flight time was 24h 59m from 16 flights. Max altitude was 12,200 ft.  Max flight time was 5h 41m. TG flew out to Mt Kosciusko in the LS-4.  58 members and visitors enjoyed the 30th Birthday party in the evening.

Sunday 29th October 2006 - MBd, CM, RB, MP, IC, and MBn flew the IS-28, Blanik, and Pilatus.  It was sunny with hardly any cloud and weak inconsistent thermals at lower levels. Winds were steady 3-7 knot north westerlies.  Total glider flight time was 12h 11m from 11 flights. Max altitude was 10,200 ft.  Max flight time was 1h 49m. MBn did most of the winch driving and MR mowed the airfield grass.

Sunday 22nd October 2006 - MBd, RB, AE,and MBn flew the IS-28, and Pilatus.  It was sunny with no cloud and weak inconsistent thermals at lower levels. Winds were steady 3-5 knot north westerlies.  Total glider flight time was 6h 5m from 9 flights. Max altitude was 7,500 ft.  Max flight time was 2h 4m. 

Sunday 15th October 2006 - CM, JM, IC, MBd, and MBn flew the IS-28, Blanik, and Pilatus.  It was sunny with cumulus over the mountains with a variable base from 7,000 ft up to 10,000 ft. Thermal strengths varied from weak to strong at about 5 m/s near the clouds.  Winds were steady 5 knot north westerlies, and hill lift was available but the winds changed to southeasterly later in the day.  Total glider flight time was 7h 29m from 5 flights. Max altitude was 10,600 ft.  Max flight time was 2h 14m. 

Saturday 7th October 2006 - MP, AE, and PGn flew the Blanik and Pilatus.  Max altitude was 6,000 ft.  Max flight time was 3hr. Thanks due to Manfred for launching.

Sunday 1st October 2006 - MS, IC, MR, and PO flew the IS-28.  It was cloudless and sunny but stable with no usable thermals apparent.  Winds were steady 5 knot north westerlies, and hill lift was available.  Total glider flight time was 1h 54m from 5 flights. Max altitude was 2,600 ft.  Max flight time was 40m. The points were changed on the winch engine and the flexible exhaust pipes replaced.

Saturday 30th September 2006 - MP, IC, MR, KV, and MBd flew the IS-28, Libelle and Pilatus.  It was sunny with scattered cumulus with a variable cloudbase at around 9,000 ft. Winds were steady 5 knot north westerlies, and hill lift and moderate thermals were available.  Total glider flight time was 5h 58m from 6 flights. Max altitude was 9,300 ft.  Max flight time was 2h 28m.

Friday 29th September 2006 - MP, and MBd flew the Libelle and Pilatus.  It was sunny with 1/8 cumulus with a variable cloudbase at 9,500 ft. Winds were steady 8 knot north westerlies, and hill lift and moderate thermals were available.  Total glider flight time was 6h 12m from 2 flights. Max altitude was 9,200 ft.  Max flight time was 3h 23m.

Saturday 23rd September 2006 - IC, PGn, MP, and MBd flew the IS-28, Blanik, and Pilatus.  It was partially sunny with 1/8 cumulus with a variable cloudbase at 6,500 ft. to 7,500 ft and some higher overcast.  Winds were steady 5 knot north westerlies, and hill lift and intermittent moderate thermals were available with peak climb rates around 5 m/s near cloudbase.  Total glider flight time was 8h 49m from 5 flights. Max altitude was 7,200 ft.  Max flight time was 3h 24m.

Sunday 17th September 2006 - IC, AE, MR, GH, and MBd flew the IS-28, Libelle, and Pilatus.  It was partially sunny with some cumulus at around 8,000 ft and a high cirrus cover later.  Winds were steady 5 knot north westerlies, and hill lift and intermittent moderate thermals were available later.  Total glider flight time was 7h from 8 flights. Max altitude was 8,000 ft.  Max flight time was 2h 39m.

Saturday 16th September 2006 - IC, PGn, MR, and MBd flew the IS-28, Libelle, and Pilatus.  It was sunny with 1/8 cumulus at around 9,000 ft.  Winds were steady 5 knot north westerlies, and hill lift and intermittent moderate thermals were available.  Total glider flight time was 8h 28m from 7 flights. Max altitude was 9,200 ft.  Max flight time was 4h 17m.

Wednesday 13th September 2006 - IC flew the IS-28.  It was partially sunny with few cumulus at around 7,500 ft and a high cirrus overcast.  Winds were  4-6 knot north westerlies increasing to 11 kt at 7,000 ft, and intermittent weak thermals were available.  Total glider flight time was 2h 45m from 1 flight. Max altitude was 7,200 ft.  Thanks to MR for operating the winch.

Saturday 9th September 2006 - IC and MBd flew the IS-28.  It was sunny with 1/8 cumulus at around 6,500 ft.  Winds were strong 10-15 knot south easterlies, and intermittent strong thermals were available.  Total glider flight time was 2h 9m from 2 flights. Max altitude was 9,200 ft.  Max flight time was 2h 4m.

Friday 8th September 2006 - IC, MP, MBd, MR and RB flew the IS-28, IS-28M2 and the Blanik.  It was sunny with 1/8 cumulus at around 6,500 ft.  Winds were steady 2-3 knot north westerlies rising to 7-8 knot, and intermittent weak thermals were available along with ridge lift later in the day.  Total glider flight time was 4h 56m from 7 flights. Max altitude was 6,800 ft.  Max flight time was 1h 31m.
